The yellow hand-tufted wool rug, also known as Tumulus, represents the latest creation by Samuel Accoceberry for Toulemonde Bochart. Following its artistic approach which celebrates the artisanal skills of Indian workshops, Accoceberry has imagined a pattern which highlights the exceptional dexterity of the weavers. These talented artisans are capable of creating volumes and reliefs through weaving techniques, particularly in looped or cut velvet.
The bold shape of this rug, made up of 3 colorful petals, elegantly occupies the space while refocusing attention towards the heart of the composition. This Tumulus, made by hand using the tufted technique, deploys its lines with great precision, offering a scarified velvet surface which evokes the serenity of a Zen garden.
The hand-tufted yellow wool rug, in its saffron version, creates a warm harmony through shades of yellow and brown, while the blue Tumulus presents a fresher color palette. The falsely round shape of this simple patterned rug allows it to fit harmoniously into an entryway as well as into a corner living room.
It should be noted that the maintenance of this wool rug is easy. Simply vacuum it regularly without using a brush, and a thorough cleaning by a professional approximately every 4 years, depending on its use, will keep it in optimal condition.
