Created by designer Christophe Pillet for Toulemonde Bochart, the Adam rug is a gray vegetable silk rug with hand-tufted patterns with a well-defined character. Oscillating between a retro touch and avant-garde modernity, it carries pronounced influences. Its amplified and stylized floral motifs are enhanced by digital processing, while the contrast is created by the sharpness of the drawing combined with graphic rigor, all tempered by gradient shades of gray and black. Adam shines with its unique shades of gray and floral patterns, giving it a special aura, which explains its presence in the collection for over a decade. Notably, the viscose in carpet is very hydrophilic, making it vulnerable to liquid stains. It may curl on contact with water, leaving marks at the end of drying. To remedy this, it is advisable to rinse, dab with a clean cloth, and dry from the outside to the inside while “straightening the velvet” to prevent undulations.
